Six Step Granular Lawn Program

Let us help you grow a lush lawn with our Six Step Program!

Step One (April-May):  this first application contains a quick release fertilizer to green up turf and is encapsulated in a pre-emergent herbicide. This prevents grassy type weeds such as crabgrass, nut sedge fox tail, and many others from germinating and invading your lawn. All weeds are spot sprayed to correct.

Step Two (May-June):  this application contains a broad spectrum fertilizer. Also included is a second treatment of pre-emergent to carry over protection from grassy weeds from spring into summer. All weeds are spot sprayed to correct.

Step Three (June-July):  this application light blend fertilizer containing an iron additive to prevent iron chlorosis or "yellowing out" of the lawn. Also included is your turf insecticide. This product called "Merit" is designed to prevent sub-soil feeding from harmful insects, such as grubs, billbug, sod webworm, and many others. All weeds are spot sprayed to correct.

Step 4 (July-August):  this application is a broad-spectrum blend fertilizer. Also, this application contains an iron additive. All weeds are spot sprayed to correct.

Step 5 (August-September):  this application is a high-percentage nitrogen and phosphorus treatment to help correct summer damage and promote root growth. All weeds are spot sprayed to correct.

Step 6 (November-December):  this final application is sulfur coated urea nitrogen. This application is applied during sustained cold temperatures and is designed to be readily available early next spring. All weeds are spot sprayed to correct.
